In 1726 when it opened, the Kingston Lodge Hotel was called the George & Dragon. That wasn't considered posh enough so it's now the Kingston Lodge, but just as friendly as it ever was. The hotel is near Richmond Park, and if you've never seen it, you should come just for that. To call it a park is like calling the Grand Canyon a valley. It is massive and beautiful and serene and majestic. All of 2,400 acres! A definite "must".

All rooms at the Kingston Lodge in Kingston-upon-Thames have tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, trouser press, remote controlled television, radio, hair dryer, 24 hour room service, iron, ironing board and en suite bathroom. Should you require extra beds or cots these are available on request. Some rooms boast their own balcony and overlook the charming courtyard garden with its contemporary style fountain.
